Bahc Yiso(Mo Bahc), Tony Feher, Jung Won Lee, Siobhan Liddell, Wilfredo Prieto, Hyeree Ro
Subtitled NYC is pleased to announce an exhibition of works by Bahc Yiso(Mo Bahc), Tony Feher, Jung Won Lee, Siobhan Liddell, Wilfredo Prieto, and Hyeree Ro, six artists who have either worked in New York in the past or are currently working in New York.
DOUBLES speaks to the relationships between contrasting ideas, identities, and experiences through the lens of intersection and separation. The exhibition draws inspiration from the concept of overlapping imagery, where similarities emerge through shared forms and diverge through the artists’ unique motifs, materials, and conceptual frameworks.
Each work in the show reflects on the tension between connection and distinction, inviting viewers to consider how commonalities and contrasts shape our understanding of things. Like two circles meeting, some elements in each work resonate through their overlapping, while others highlight the boundaries that separate them.
Subtitled NYC extends its sincere gratitude to Yiso Sarangbang(이소사랑방), Gordon Robichaux, and Rebecca Camacho Presents for graciously loaning their works and for their invaluable support in helping bring this exhibition to fruition.
